Anyone have info on the history of the J. Stevens A&T firearms Co.?

Okay, so I'm working on restoring my grandpa's Stevens Maynard Jr. break-action .22 and I can't seem to find any serial # or information on the company. I need to know roughly when it was made so I can get a better parts list. Does anyone have info on this company or on the model itself? Any help is appreciated.
