An animal has one visual pigment in the retina with maximum absorbance at 430 nm. If the animal were swimming in the deep blue sea (where only blue light penetrates), what colour would an object that appears blue to the human eye look like to this animal (in terms of colour)? How about if the animal was viewing this object on land, under a full spectrum of light? why??
